Clinical Supervision

with Zoe Thompson

A supportive space to develop your skills, navigate challenges, and thrive as a practitioner.

What is Supervision and how can it help?

Being a therapist is incredibly rewarding, but it can also be emotionally demanding and, at times, surprisingly lonely. Clinical supervision provides a supportive, collaborative space where you can reflect on your work, talk through client cases, explore challenges, and consider different perspectives in a safe and confidential environment.

As therapists, we regularly hear stories of trauma, loss and distress. Holding that emotional weight without a place to process it can leave us vulnerable to compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma. Supervision offers the opportunity to offload, make sense of difficult experiences, and receive guidance from someone who understands the unique challenges of therapeutic work.

Good supervision is about far more than meeting professional requirements. It helps you develop your skills, deepen your self-awareness, build confidence in your clinical decisions, and continue growing as a practitioner. Ultimately, investing in supervision is an investment in both your own wellbeing and the quality of care you provide to your clients.

Many professional bodies also require regular clinical supervision as part of ethical practice, helping to ensure practitioners receive the support they need while maintaining high standards of client care.

My Approach to Supervision

Having experienced the good, the bad and the ugly of supervision I have created an approach which centres on the needs of the person I’m supervising. I feel it’s important to choose someone you feel comfortable with and someone who can support you in a way which you find supportive and stretching.

I would like to get to know you and find out about your business and what you’d like from supervision. So I invite you to book a free 30 minute Supervision Conversation, an opportunity to get to know each other and for me to understand how you’d like help. The conversation will be online via Zoom.

Supervision can be the difference between creating a thriving business that you love and leaving the profession due to burnout and isolation. Give yourself the gift of support….book a free conversation below.
